Tesco introduced a new concept in health care to attract customers to their onsite pharmacies. Alongside the main pharmacy are consultation rooms that unlike conventional systems that are dark and uninviting the new design has glass doors and fixed screens that can be switched from clear to opaque when customers / patients are having private consultations. This provides a better consulting environment allowing natural daylight into the space when in the privacy state for better wellbeing. The initial ‘roll out’ comprised of four sites across the country for review and evaluation with a view that the system would be incorporated into each pharmacy each time a store is refurbished.
