The two adjacent imaging suites were refurbished in 2019 and 2020 respectively with the latest state of the art 3D imaging equipment. During surgery the imaging equipment can stream live feed direct to the surgeons as they carry out internal procedure. The process uses X-rays and Laser equipment, so the staff have to be protected with a combination of Xray glass screens combined with switchable Smart Glass located in front of the main monitoring desk. The glass can be switched from clear to opaque for private patient discussions.
